Wire Pro Inc., Announces Ownership Changes

Salem, NJ—Wire Pro, Inc., (WPI) headquartered in Salem, NJ, today announced a change in company ownership. The privately held connector and cable assembly manufacturer, in operation since 1971, has been under the joint ownership of Robert Barbera, Sr. and Gerald Eddis. Barbera has sold his interest to his five sons, all of whom are employed with the company, effective September 26, 2003. Eddis retains his ownership and position as president.

In addition, WPI has selected Wilmington Savings Fund Society, FSB (WSFS) as its financial institution.

Barbera and Eddis began their partnership in May 1971 as a spare parts manufacturer of military cable assemblies. They moved operations to Salem in 1979. Through asset acquisition and product development, WPI has grown into eight separate divisions with locations in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida, California, Mexico and Taiwan.

Henry Barbera, who was named CEO in 1996, said the company will continue its course of growth and will remain as a good community business partner.

“While our business organization has changed, it is with great optimism that my family continues on the path set forth by my father and Jerry,” he said. “WPI will continue to look for new opportunities and markets where we can excel by offering quality products and services at competitive prices.”
