RELEASES NEW DATA SHEET ON |
Salem, NJ-WPI Interconnect Products' (WPI) D-Subminiatures
meet all the requirements of MIL-DTL-24308 for the most challenging military and
aerospace applications. A new, detailed data sheet is available by request at M24308@wpi-interconnect.com.
These rectangular connectors are space and weight saving, reliable, and
accommodate a variety of circuits. WPI's in-house manufacturing processes and
production capabilities ensure competitive pricing.
The connector is designed for rack and panel, cable-to-panel, and cable-to-cable
connection, available in 9, 15, 25, 37 or 50 contact arrangements, with rear
insertion type crimp contacts.
WPI's D-Subminiature shells are steel cadmium plated with yellow chromate
coating, or zinc plated with yellow chromate coating. These durable connectors
have a contact retention strength that will not push out with 9 lbs. of force in
the direction of the mating forces.
The engagement/separation force needed is 0.7 ounces minimum with minimum
diameter pin, and 18.0 ounces maximum with maximum diameter pin. There is no
interruption of electrical continuity longer than one microsecond due to
vibration. The contact quality and durability ensures no mechanical or
electrical defects of the connector after 500 engagement and disengagement
cycles.
WPI D-Subminiatures' environmental and electrical specifications include:
Temperature: -550C to +850C
Current Rating: 7.5 amperes maximum
Voltage Rating: 1,000 VAC at sea level; 325 VAC at 70,000 feet
